UF_N_ALL_IT_WORKERSThis role provides membership into a campus wide group to recognize information technology (IT) workers.  The role is used to enable various communication and information distribution services using email, protected IT oriented webpages, and similar communication channels.   This role should not be used to distribute information or communication that is sensitive or restricted.   Assign this role to employees who should communicate as IT workers at UF.

UFIT Endpoint Management Roles

UFIT

Role NameDescription
UF_N_ENDPOINT_MANAGEMENT_ADMINThis role is for unit IT staff that will use the UF Endpoint Management console to manage UF desktop and server computers. Requests for this role will only be approved for staff that have completed the UF Endpoint Management training. IT Staff additionally will need to be placed into the appropriate UFAD group to grant access to specific departmental resources within UF Endpoint Management.

UF_N_SM_HELP_DESKThis role is provided to only the UFIT Help Desk staff to support Service Management. This role grants access to add/edit solely service requests, and incidents and provides access to secure fields shared with the UFIT Security Group. Users of this role will have read ONLY access to Problem and Change Management. In addition, users will have access to the remote support application. This role is primarily for tier 1 employees, including student employees.
