Basic Roles

These roles are assigned systematically based on such things as an individual’s affiliations defined in the UF Identity Registry, their GatorLink account status, and/or their assignment of certain roles in ARS. DSAs do not assign these roles in the Access Request System (ARS).

If a role assignment related to registry affiliations is incorrect or missing, please contact your Identity Coordinator, who can make corrections in the UF Identity Registry or can contact the appropriate central office on your behalf. The roles should be correctly assigned by the next day.

Note: A non–UF employee who needs to access any myUFL system must have the Departmental Associate relationship in the UF Identity Registry.

 

Role Description
UF_CS_USER Required for all myUFL Student Information System functions to work, including self service. (P2)

Assigned to those designated in the UF Identity Registry with any of the following affiliations:

UF_HR_EMPLOYEE_SELF_SERVICE Provides self–service access for employees to: register for training classes and view training history or certifications; view or enter time worked, sick leave, vacations, etc.; view or modify benefits information; view paycheck and other compensation records. (P2)

UF_HR Faculty This role gives a faculty member access to: Update his or her activities, Upload a Tenure and Promotion Packet and supporting documents, Complete Waiver to Letter Evaluation statement, Certify Tenure and Promotion Packet, Respond to Letter from the department chair or dean, and Respond to queries from the APB. (P2)

UF_PA_Mng_Class_Rolls Provides self–service access to manage class rolls. Assigned to those with a Manage Class Rolls affiliation in the UF Identity Registry. The Manage Class Rolls affiliation is controlled by the Registrar’s office. (P3)
UF_PA_Staff Provides Staff News pagelet and access to staff–oriented systems/links in myUFL (including Admin Menu).  (P2)
